• The balance of the full reservation (plus all applicable taxes) will be charged two weeks prior to your scheduled check-in date. Example: If your check-in date is on a Friday, you will be charged for the full amount of the reservation on the Thursday two weeks prior to your reservation.  
• Reservations will not be refunded if a cancellation is made within the two-week period prior to check-in 

General Policies

• Check in time is 3 pm (or anytime thereafter), and check out time is 11 am.
• A 2-night minimum stay is required for bookings on Fridays and Saturdays (holidays may entail a longer minimum stay).
• A one-night weekend booking may be permitted if we have a stand-alone night available, OR on a last-minute availability basis. Please contact us directly to inquire about one-night weekend availability.
• Smoking is permitted outdoors only, and all doors and windows leading into the room must be closed.
• Out of consideration for our other guests, we are unable to accommodate pets.
• No childcare is provided.
• Responsible consumption of alcohol is permitted.
• Unless otherwise pre-arranged with the innkeeper, all bed and breakfast facilities are available for use only to registered guests.

Deposit: A 50% deposit is required at the time of your reservation.

Minimum Stay: Minimum of two night stay on weekends (Friday and Saturday nights).  If a weekend is available short notice and a one night stay is needed, please call us directly at 985-373-5868 to discuss accommodating that request.

Pets: For the safety, comfort, and convenience of all of our guests, we regret that we do not allow guests to bring pets or service animals to Birdie & Rascal’s B&B

No Shows: Reservations that are not canceled prior to the arrival date will be treated as a no show. No shows will be charged for the total amount of their stay on the credit card we have on file. There will be no exceptions.

Damage: Minor mishaps happen. However, willful or damages due to negligence done to the rooms or property will not be tolerated and will be subject to a monetary damage assessment and will result in an early guest departure. This amount will be charged to the credit card on file. We ask that you please be respectful of our home and its contents including towels, bedding, furnishings, glassware, etc.

Wedding Parties/Special Events: No wedding parties, pre-wedding events or special events are allowed at Birdie & Rascal’s B&B as our space is too small to accommodate large crowds.  Brides and grooms as well as couples attending weddings in the local area are very welcome!  

Quiet Time: Quiet time begins at 9:30PM nightly and we ask that each guest respect the other guests as well as the surrounding community. Our property is located in a mixed residential and light commercial section of our community.  There are residential homes adjacent to our property; therefore, parties, large gatherings, loud music and loud activities are not permitted.  Gatherings of more than 6 people are not allowed.  There are several establishments nearby that serve alcohol and allow for large gatherings including but not limited to: Ruby’s Roadhouse(across the street), The Red Barn Pub, Kelly’s Coastal Cabana, McClain’s Pizzeria, Barley Oak, and Pat’s Rest Awhile. 

Smoking: Smoking or vaping is not allowed in rooms.  Smoking is allowed outdoors but not in the patio/firepit area as other guests may be in close proximity.

Cancellation:  A full refund can be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking if the check-in date is more than 14 days away. After your 48 hour booking window has expired, a 50% refund will be issued for cancellations made at least 14 days before check-in. There will be no refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of check-in.

Parking:  There is one parking spot available to guests in the driveway. Additional parking on the street. No parking on lawn.
